Mayor’s Million Dollar Match: $2 million to Fill the Shelves

In June, Metro Council passed Louisville’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget, including a $1 million match challenge to increase the collection and reduce wait times at the Louisville Free Public Library. Beginning July 1, 2025, every private donation to the Library Foundation for books and materials will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $1 million.
