The two years I spent on staff at Hospitality House of Charlotte forever changed my life.

While I've been fortunate to have never experienced a medical crisis nor live more than five miles from a major hospital, I was completely unaware of the need for a place like Hospitality House. 

It wasn't long before that changed.

Every day I spent at the House (also our office) was a new opportunity to experience first hand the impact we were making in people's lives. Whether it was reading handwritten thank you cards from a past guests or bumping into a patient in the kitchen while making my morning coffee, I was constantly being told how the services HHOC provides brought so much comfort and security to those facing a difficult time.

Each story and "thank you" instilled a new sense of motivation in me to share this mission with everyone I knew.

The reality is that not enough people are aware of the great need for affordable accommodations close to hospitals providing critical treatments for cancer, heart disease, traumas and other serious illnesses. And while my time as an employee came to an end, Hospitality House will always have a special place in my heart.
