My "BIG" Patricia and I at age 7

Big Brother Big Sisters (BBBS) is an organization that I am exceptionally passionate about. Before I was adopted at age 11, I was introduced to My "Big", Patricia Parker, through a school based relationship with BBBS.  Without a mother or faithful parent figure in my life I was lonely and independent. I needed direction and support.  The encouraging words, guidance, and LOVE that was shown to me by Patricia gave me hope and confidence as I was growing up. The example she set for me tremendously impacted my youth and even still my adult life! 

Here we are in 2020, a bond that has lasted 30 years!

Many people in our community have asked me “what can I do” to create change in our community and the best answer is “Be a mentor” or Support a mentoring relationship through BBBS of Central Carolinas.
