Around the Fall of 2018 Popeye was rescued from a trash dump staggering around with an infection in his eye (hence his name). During his visit to the vet he was diagnosed with cerebellar hypoplasia which explained the staggering. Today a little over two years later his eye regained all sight and the only way he is different from other cats is some occasional upper respiratory infections and a cute tilt of his head.
