Starting on June 1st, the Southington- Cheshire Community YMCA will be participating in a Race4Chase 26-day Challenge in support of the Race4Chase program. Three high school friends will be running or walking 2.6 miles per day to help support these amazing young athletes.
Race4Chase is a youth triathlon program started by the CMAK Foundation in memory of Chase Kowalski, who along with his classmates and teachers, was taken away too soon in the tragedy in Sandy Hook. Chase started running at age two and half and participated in his first triathlon at age six. Now his memory lives on in all the young athletes who participate in this program.
The Race4Chase program is offered free of charge to 70 young athletes in Southington and Cheshire to train for and compete in a triathlon at YMCA Camp Sloper.
Thank you for your consideration and for helping to make a difference in the lives of so many children in our community!
