This is the 6th annual Joy and Justice Book and Gift Giveaway, in honor of my Aunt Yvonne McDonald, who lost her life on August 7, 2018, in Olympia, WA. Yvonne loved kids and was a huge advocate for children's literacy. Instead of giving traditional gifts for special occasions, she gifted the kids with books. So, in her beloved memory, the Joy and Justice Book and Gift Giveaway was created. 

We serve households in Thurston County by providing children ages 1 to 17 with brand new books and gifts. Last year, we were able to provide items to 394 kids and 94 adults with the help of community members and organizations in Thurston County. We are fortunate to have had a partnership with the Moore Wright Group since 2019. If you are looking for a way to support community members in need, this is a great opportunity. We will be hosting the event minutes from our highest poverty schools in Olympia to ensure that those families have access to books and gifts this holiday season. We cannot do this without reaching this modest goal.
