- Why or how did you become involved with Access Virginia?
Through friends on the Norfolk Community Disability Council, I was asked could I assist this worthwhile group many years back. Always willing to help when possible, I was volunteered and have continued to assist as possible. Access Virginia is truly meeting a need within the community.
b) What do you appreciate about the work Access Virginia does?
With on-going vision and hearing loss due to health and aging, I can truly appreciate the efforts of Access Virginia to assist others continue a high level of involvement in the arts and musical events within the community. I have heard and seen for myself that many are taking advantage of the services offered by Access Virginia. I never knew this was available before.
- Why do you think making theatrical works accessible an important labor for Access Virginia to support?
Music plays such an integral part of life for so many. It truly helps keep us young. It is important to keep this access to this musical link alive for so many people.
