When my family and I moved to Dayton four years ago, finding the right school for our children was very important.  I new that I wanted them in an environment where they were not only being nurtured academically, but also spiritually and socially.   Chaminade Julienne is the perfect fit because of its welcoming and diverse student body, and also because of its commitment to implementing their core values of faith.  I love the "Be The Light" motto.  It reminds me to be intentional about developing and living my faith, and I believe CJ is also being intentional about creating a great learning environment. Since the decision to enroll my kids, I've had two children graduate, and currently have a Sophomore.  I believe that they are more prepared for the next level of their education because of the experiences they've had and the friendships they've made at CJ.

    As a parent and a CJ Board Member, what I appreciate most is CJ's commitment to strengthening the culture of academic excellence, faith, diversity, inclusion, and service.  Being a part of the Board has provided an opportunity for me to gain a better understanding of how this culture is cultivated, and I'm thankful to be a part of the process.   

      Last year was a school year like no other, but I am proud to say that my son, Makai has endured and shown great resiliency, thanks in part to CJ's leadership and direction. CJ has also demonstrated resiliency and continues to work toward creating a more inclusive, supportive and faithful community.  I'm looking forward to having another Eagle graduate.
