I was a child in need of additional positive role models in my life. I endured several insecurities, adversities, and trauma. As a child, I needed access to educational and extracurricular activities. I did not receive the proper support I needed, luckily I persevered. By the time I got to high school, my principal (a caring adult) "saw me" and supported my academic needs. Then in college, a professor (a caring adult) saw my passion, learned about my goals, and guided me; as a young adult, I gained exceptional friends, an exceptional family unit, and continue to receive support from a small but mighty community. I was able to advance in my educational journey; achieve my goals, and now I am in the position to GIVE BACK! I share this short excerpt to state mentoring works, and I am asking YOU to help me and the ConnectiKids team help 300 or more children advance into the stars they are meant to be this year!
