Via Migrante / Casa de Luz is a migrant shelter in Tijuana for LGBTQ asylum seekers and their families who have fled persecution and violence in their home countries. Though a small shelter -- just 38 beds -- Casa de Luz has been able to help thousands of migrants who arrive with little or nothing, and may also experience discrimination and homophobia in the border cities.
