What is College Ventures and why should you donate your time or money to our organization? 

College Ventures is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a strong mission.

We are driven by two goals; to make college more accessible for soon-to-be college students hailing from low-income families, and to develop the students of today into tomorrow's compassionate leaders.

College Ventures started operating in 2019 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

It all began when our founder was interested in getting involved in a student-led organization which raised money to help support soon-to-be college students, but couldn't find one.

College Ventures stands out, as it is almost entirely ran by passionate college students who are looking to make a difference.

In a matter of a few short months, we have already expanded to multiple universities across the country with the intent to grow to as many chapters as possible and help as many students as we can!

We strive to make college more accessible by providing grants to high school seniors across the US to be used towards college tuition payments.

How is the money raised and what is the money used for?

We raise 100% of our money through donors like yourself! 

College students across the country have joined together in volunteering their time to raise money for a great cause. 

Current college students create teams at their respective universities, one team per university.

High school seniors will apply for a grant via the College Ventures website.

College Ventures selects a high school senior who qualifies for financial aid and pairs him/her with a team.

Each team begins by way of leading their own fundraising campaigns and working simultaneously to reach their goals.

College Ventures sets a team fundraising goal and requires each team member to reach their individual fundraising goal of $150 minimum.

College Ventures incentivizes team members by providing rewards for going above and beyond their $150 individual fundraising goals.

In the past, team members were most successful with their fundraising efforts by running phone and email campaigns, reaching out to friends and family, working with social media platforms, making announcements before class and other creative ideas!

The more team members you recruit to help raise money, the easier it is to reach your team goal!

When each team reaches their goal, the money goes straight to the soon-to-be college student to be used towards tuition payments.

College Ventures is a 501c3 non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible.
