Story
ANAD, or Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, is a nonprofit organization working in the areas of support, awareness, advocacy, referral, education, and prevention. It is the oldest organization aimed at fighting eating disorders in the United States. This organization assists people struggling with eating disorders and also provides resources for families, schools, and the eating disorder community. At least 30 million people of all ages and genders suffer from eating disorders in the United States. With the help of organizations such as ANAD, we are one step closer to helping those who suffer from eating disorders.
ANAD is one of Delta Phi Epsilon Omega Chapter's philanthropies. This philanthropy is very near and dear to many of our sisters. "Everyone knows someone" is a quote that guides us during this awareness week, as so many of our sisters have been personally affected by eating disorders, or know someone who has. This year, we are holding a four-day long philanthropy event in order to promote body positivity and self-love on campus. These events will take place from April 2nd-April 5th. We would greatly appreciate any donation amount. We thank you so much for all of your support.
