Kristina Dulaney's Story

My family and I were completely blindsided by Postpartum Psychosis almost 7 years ago and it completely changed everything.  It stole memories, time and precious moments that I'll never get back. Ever since, I have made it my mission to share my story in an effort to instill hope and ignite change. Families deserve more resources, education and support around this very real condition as well as maternal mental health disorders. PPP is highly stigmatized along with all of the maternal mental health disorders but I truly believe if we can decrease stigma around PPP, we can alleviate stigma around all of the perinatal mental health disorders. Please support this day so we can continue to raise awareness, share stories and support those experiencing this awful condition. Thank you!

Story

Join us in our efforts to address the rarest and most severe of perinatal mood disorders: perinatal psychosis (PPP). This is our 2nd annual PPP (Pregnancy & Postpartum) Awareness Day and the FIRST ever US-based international fundraising effort for PPP awareness, prevention of trauma and tragedies and support for those who have had this terrible illness.
Your contribution will help fund the annual Pregnancy and Postpartum Psychosis Awareness Day which was created to shed light on the mental health challenges that perinatal families face, and to provide information, resources and supports to those in need. PPP Awareness Day is a project of Cherished Mom, a nonprofit that was established by a PPP survivor, and that the same survivor also founded and leads PPP Awareness Day.
