The Jahmeyka Project is a non-profit organization run by licensed social workers and funded solely by donations. We've been part of the community for over 10 years, working to directly benefit social services and communities in Jamaica.

As we all know, 2020 has been a particularly difficult year for all of us, and the impact on Jamaica has been disastrous. Aside from devastating implications from the healthcare side, stay-at-home orders have strained the existing challenges of connectivity causing students to struggle to continue their education. Wifi can be unreliable and expensive, and having a personal device at home to attend class is not a luxury many already have. Students across the island are at a crossroads between staying safe and healthy, and continuing their personal and educational growth.

Our Giving Tuesday campaign aims to help with support the urgent need of connectivity for Jamaica's youth with WiFi and device support, as well as continued programming to enable individuals and programs to adapt to the current normal of isolation through COVID:

$10 can provide one student a bundle basic school supplies for the whole academic year
$20 can connect one student to her or his virtual classroom for a month
$100 can fund a repurposed device to connect a household to limitless external resources
