Story
We find ourselves in a year of transition: transitioning to a new era of leadership in the midst of a still-present pandemic, and ushering in a new strategic plan and vision to guide and inform our work. We have no doubt that our collective will continue to lead the way to address the massive need for affordable housing in our region.
That’s because HDC is more than its staff and Board. You – our members and partners - are HDC, we’re thankful for you every day, and invite you to join us in celebrating the affordable housing sector and HDC membership on March 29, 2022, and all year long, as we work to build the capacity of our membership, working on the frontlines to better address equitable access to housing.
We are a movement with a single common purpose and your sustained commitment is essential to the progress we’ve made in creating access to affordable housing across our region. So, we will celebrate and fortify the foundation of your association, setting the trajectory for the next decade of work before us.
In-person tickets are limited. We look forward to seeing you to celebrate our accomplishments, recognize the outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations to our common agenda, and hear more about the vision of HDC from new leadership.

Only In-Person ticket holders will be permitted to attend the event on-location. No on-site registration will be permitted.
The Housing Development Consortium of Seattle-King County (HDC) was founded in 1988 by 10 non-profit housing providers. Today, we support the 5500+ member staff of our member organizations, of all ethnicities, through our diverse menu of member offerings, who in turn support and house limited-income individuals and families across the county at 80% AMI and below. HDC works toward our shared mission and vision by:
- Using our collective voice to advocate for policies at the local levels that foster inclusive, affordable communities and marshal ample sector-wide resources;
- Capitalizing on our unique position to broker relationships among our members and the broader community to promote business development and create the connections necessary for a robust sector; and
- Convening our members around topics and issues designed to increase member capacity and support the work of creating a more sustainable and comprehensive affordable housing movement.
Our Vision
All people throughout King County live with dignity in safe, healthy, and affordable homes
Our Mission
Build, sustain, and inspire a diverse network committed to producing, preserving, and increasing equitable access to affordable homes
