The First Amendment guarantees all Americans the right to shape their lives according to communal and personal beliefs. These inalienable rights, paired with a pluralistic society, necessitate a framework for understanding across difference. Join the IFC and traditional and nontraditional interfaith leaders for a discussion about the relevance of liberation in 2021. The virtual program is free and open to the public.
In recognition of the many challenges our society has recently faced, the IFC is hosting its very first virtual Interfaith Leadership Summit titled, “Liberation in 2021: Interfaith Perspectives”. The event is scheduled to take place on February 27th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm and will feature religious, spiritual, and civic leaders from across the nation sharing their thoughts and insights on what Liberation means to them and their particular community of faith in a diverse democracy. As always, we welcome those ages 18-39 to join us for this event, which will serve as a community celebration of deliverance through diversity and inclusion and unite advocates and allies. This event will give our young adult community space to express their experiences and feelings through a variety of artistic expressions AND empower advocates and allies to show their solidarity. The event will feature informative workshops in order to bring about awareness as well as interactive workshops to create spaces for change and healing to take place. We hope you are able to join in on our open Q&A session as we look to lean into what liberation looks like in 2021.
