What is ISAA?

The Institute for the Study of Arms & Armor™ (ISAA™) is a unique organization dedicated to the preservation, research, documentation, and public understanding of arms, armor, and the evolution of weaponry across all cultures and time periods. We operate under a dual-structured model:

ISAA Library™ is our nonprofit division—a world-class archival, educational, and research institution committed to safeguarding the material and historical record of arms and armor for scholars, collectors, and the public.
ISAA Labs™ is our for-profit testing and certification division—an independent facility offering professional evaluation, forensic analysis, and ballistic testing of modern arms, armor, and ammunition. It supports and sustains the nonprofit mission through its commercial services.

Together, ISAA exists to build a global center of excellence that serves as a modern-day Library of Alexandria for arms and armor—preserving knowledge, enabling discovery, and defending truth through scientific integrity and historical stewardship.
