If you are reading this you are my 'friend' and I am writing this because my dear friend Leith Gaines Rajotte, Executive Director of CCA invited me to join her in cause to help reimagine CCA, the community art center in Hood River in the Columbia River Gorge. 

Peter and I made our second home in the Gorge for 15 years and I understand how important CCA is to the community in general and to artists in particular. Many of our friends also have their primary or secondary homes in the Gorge and enjoy both the beauty and benefits this unique place has to offer.

If you are my friend you know that I have spent more than 30 years supporting artists and art institutions as my primary life's work. I have seen first hand the struggle artists make every day to not only create but to share in community. Spaces such as CCA provide an incalculable benefit to both artists and communities--especially since they are often the only arts center for miles around.

Henri Matisse has been quoted as saying --"Creativity takes courage." 

Supporting CCA takes courage as well. Friends, I invite you to be courageous and contribute now to this worthy cause. CCA needs you at this crucial time in order to continue it's legacy of supporting artists in the Columbia River Gorge.
