I've been living at the St. John Paul II Newman Center for about two years, and I'm studying physics at UNO. I chose to move to the Newman Center partly because I wanted to take the next step in learning how to live as an adult. Moreover, I felt it would be a great opportunity to become more active in my Catholic life, something I've been interested in but haven't always thought much about. Now, I believe that the experiences I've had living here have been fulfilling in both areas.
Some of these experiences were in Bible study groups, a speaker retreat, and even a few gaming groups. On top of having a great time with other people, there were also enlightening moments that made me rethink my perception of Christianity. They encouraged me not only to see more positivity and nuance in it, but also to explore and gain a better understanding of how I want to fit it in my life. While things haven't always been easy here due to the pandemic, I believe this community was strong enough to pull through. I want the Newman Center to continue to inspire and bring joy to other students, and I would like your help in doing so.
