MATCares was created out of a heartfelt desire to give back — a mission that’s been close to the heart of Megan Aitken for as long as she’s been serving the local community through real estate. Megan always believed that success wasn’t just about sales, but about making a meaningful impact on the lives of families, neighbors, and schools in the place she calls home.

While that desire was always there, the spark to officially bring MATCares to life was inspired by the memory of Robin Lego, the first Director of Operations for The Megan Aitken Team. Robin was the kind of person who left a mark on everyone she met — kind, hardworking, and fiercely dedicated to helping others. Her passing in 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer left a void, but it also fueled Megan’s determination to turn the team’s long-standing charitable efforts into something even bigger and more lasting.

In 2023, that dream became a reality with the founding of MATCares: a nonprofit committed to supporting families in need, empowering students and schools, partnering with local nonprofits, and bringing the community together through fundraising events and outreach. Today, MATCares stands as a testament not only to Robin’s legacy but to the collective heart of a team that believes success means lifting others up along the way.

With every dollar raised, every event hosted, and every act of generosity, MATCares is here to make sure our community thrives — because giving back isn’t just part of what we do; it’s who we are.
