Join us for the Midlands Vegan Chili Cook-Off! Presented by Sustainable Midlands & Cotton Branch!

Taste from the community's BEST vegan chili at Homeland Craft Beer & Wine in Batesburg-Leesville, SC (35 minutes from Downtown Columbia). All tasting tickets benefit Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary. Your tasting ticket includes access to taste amazing vegan chili, water/soft drinks, and a goodie bag from our sponsors! Click on the "Donate & Tickets" tab and select "Tasting Ticket". This is an all-ages event.


Want to Compete in the Cook-Off?

Click on the "Donate & Tickets" tab and select "Competition Ticket". Please make sure you list any allergens on a notecard so everyone with food allergies can be aware of what is in the chili.

Ingredients that need to be disclosed:
Peanuts
Soy
Wheat
Tree nuts (such as walnuts and cashews)

Avoid all animal products, including meat, eggs, dairy, and honey. If you have any questions on what is vegan or not, please reach out to us: [email protected]

How much chili should you make? A 2-3 ounce serving for a crowd of up to 40 people. Which comes out to about 6-7.5lbs of chili.

Our Event Sponsors will provide tasting cups, napkins, & utensils for everyone tasting the chili. Your team will not be responsible for those items. Please bring serving utensils and wear "Food Grade Disposable Gloves" when serving chili. When serving chili, your team is required to wear a mask or face coveringYou will have access to electricity.

All teams competing must be at Homeland Craft Beer & Wine no later than 4:15 PM.

All competition tickets benefit Cotton Branch Farm Sanctuary.


Covid-19 Safety Policy

Due to the recent rise of Covid-19 infections in the state of South Carolina, we are requiring all tasting guests & competition participants who haven't been fully vaccinated to wear a face mask/covering for the duration of the event (when not eating or drinking). Wearing a face mask/covering is strongly encouraged for our vaccinated guests.

We appreciate your cooperation and attention to this safety policy designed to protect our staff and fellow supporters.
