Mental health challenges intersect ethnicity, employment & economics, but Colorado’s mental health terrain is especially rocky for veterans, construction workers, People of Color, Trans and Queer people and our elders. A Mental Health America report validated this inequity in mental healthcare access ranking Colorado … LAST. We rank 7th in suicides.

Moodfuel News launched on October 1, 2022 with the nonprofit mission to improve health equity and access to mental healthcare in Colorado through original and curated, inclusive & solutions-based journalism. We'll show readers that mental health is achievable and prompt support is available. We'll reach folks before they're "done."

Because our publisher and staff have mental illness diagnoses, come from marginalized communities and live the struggle, we maintain a level of reporting competence not found elsewhere. We’re peers. We’ll only publish content to enlighten, problem-solve & motivate. No politics, no doom scrolling. In addition, our 24/7 accessible, web-based Resource Guide will empower anyone to find zero-to-low cost programs, support groups and listeners.
