Prospect Hill Academy Charter School (PHA) is a tuition-free, PreK to Grade 12 college preparatory charter public school serving over 900 students across three campuses in Somerville and Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Our Engaged, Diverse Student Population

Our students are uniquely bright, intellectually curious, and racially, ethnically, culturally, linguistically, and socio-economically diverse, representing a broad range of countries and languages. 89% of students are people of color, more than two-thirds are low-income, and nearly half do not speak English as their first language.

The Collegiate and Career Institute (grades 10-12), where students are given more choice and independence and receive individualized college preparation and counseling from our award-winning College Counseling program.
Access to college-level courses at Bunker Hill Community College and Franklin Cummings Technical Institute through our Dual Enrollment program, allowing students to simultaneously earn high school and college credits.
Aided by our Alumni Support program, 72% of our alumni graduate from college, significantly outpacing the 59% national average.
PHA consistently places among the top high schools in the nation per U.S. News & World Report, and also ranks the 4th highest for college enrollment in the state of Massachusetts.
