THERE IS HOPE, AND THE CURE BEGINS WITH YOU...
Millions worldwide are suffering from chronic pain, migraine, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue, pelvic pain and many other functional syndromes or medically unexplained symptoms. In the past, it was assumed the cause for the majority of these symptoms could not be found and no cure was possible. We now know these symptoms not only can be diagnosed accurately, they can be successfully treated! But to do this, we need your help!
One in six adults have Psychophysiologic Disorders (PPD) and few realize there is a safer, more affordable and more effective approach to relieving their symptoms. Scientific research shows that our approach can relieve and even cure these neural pathway conditions without the need for drugs, surgery, physical therapy or expensive alternative treatments.
ABOUT THE PPDA
The Psychophysiologic Disorders Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to end the chronic pain epidemic and opioid crisis by advancing the awareness, diagnosis and treatment of neuroplastic symptoms (PPD) that affect millions worldwide.
The PPDA provides continuing education for health professionals, recovery resources for patients (including a directory of practitioners), consultation for healthcare organizations about achieving the quadruple aim, support for clinical research and raises global awareness. Despite challenging circumstances due to the pandemic, in 2021 we created significantly more impact than in any year since our founding in 2009. Here are a couple highlights:
The University of Colorado Boulder study that we supported was published in JAMA Psychiatry and featured in The Washington Post and CBS News. This was the first randomized controlled trial showing that chronic back pain not only can be managed, but can be cured using a mindbody approach! Of 151 total participants, 66% randomized to Pain Reprocessing Therapy were pain-free or nearly pain-free at posttreatment (reporting a pain intensity score of 0 or 1 of 10), compared with 20% randomized to placebo and 10% randomized to usual care. Treatment effects were maintained at 1-year follow-up.
We then hosted the largest mindbody conference in history with a record-breaking 424 attendees from around the world, including 23 speakers. Our 2021 Conference is now available on-demand. Learn more about our impact at EndChronicPain.org/about.
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
In 2020, individual donations accounted for 78% of our annual budget. We’re currently fundraising for the exciting projects, programs and services listed below.
2022 PROJECTS, PROGRAMS & SERVICES
JOIN THE MOVEMENT TO END CHRONIC PAIN
All donors will be recognized on our Donors page (unless you prefer to remain anonymous). Donors who give $100 or more will receive exclusive access to the Mindbody Words of Wisdom video playlist. Listen to 16 experts reveal the one thing they'd say to a PPD (mindbody) patient to help them toward recovery.

WHAT LARGE DONATIONS WILL SUPPORT
Our greatest need is to expand our team. Currently, we have only one full-time staff member along with 8 part-time volunteers on our Board of Directors. When funded, we plan to hire a Programs Director, a Marketing Director and a Development Director. Expanding our team will exponentially increase our ability to reach those in need with our projects, programs and services.
Donors of $50,000 or more will receive special recognition as one of our Founders.
For large donations, Venmo, Facebook or check is preferred (to avoid transaction fees).
