I love the saree and as I have made my home away from home here, I want my friends, family and allies to understand why this is so important to me and many fellow American Indians. This is part of my identity and authenticity and I want to integrate this into my life as a norm.
The proceeds from the run go towards non -profits that are looking to empower women (To create a global movement of women problem solvers, change makers and leaders) and also towards bringing children out of generational poverty towards a life of dignity.
Also be part of the history in the making, this is the first saree run in the USA. You can take part by registering to walk/run and fundraising as part of the walk/run and or show you support by donating (if you are unable to participate in the walk/run).
