Cooling Center Sponsor A Day

In response to high temperature warnings, a cooling center is available at the Men's Warming Shelter of Bedford (1414 H Street) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on designated alert days.  Meals, showers, laundry facilities and supplies are available.  This important community service, however, involves extra costs (almost $200 a day) to cover staff time, electricity, water, food and other related costs.  Please help us keep our neighbors in need safe and cool by sponsoring a cooling day.
