I was introduced to Safe Crossings Foundation when I had the opportunity to serve as a Board Fellow during my MBA program at the University of Washington. It's safe to say I had no idea what a HUGE need there was for grief support for children and what a dearth of resources exist. The more I became involved with SCF, the more I started talking to friends and connections who shared about the impact of losing a parent or family member and the more clear it became to me that children really need specialized support to process grief. The passing of a close friend shortly into my tenure as a Board Fellow brought the reality of grief home, and becoming a mom gave me a new sense of empathy for helping grieving kids. Please join me in supporting this organization providing vital funding an resources in the PNW.
