Current Animal in Need: Abby

Abby is 12 years old. She spent many days on the water as the "co-captain" of Captain Steve's Fishing Charters. Both of Abby's parents passed away and she was inexplicably found roaming the streets. Abby has dermatitis from severe matting, dislocated hip bones, arthritis, and bad teeth. We have found a loving foster home for Abby to live out the rest of her life, but your contributions will provide the medical care Abby needs to be more comfortable and live with less pain. Any money raised beyond the medical expenses that Abby requires will be used for other animals who need emergency veterinary care or lifesaving heartworm treatment. Every dollar provides hope and a second chance at love for an animal in need. We thank you for your support!

The St. Joseph Bay Second Chance Fund for emergency animal care was established in 2019 in honor of Bridget, an innocent kitten who suffered paralysis after being thrown 60 feet from a bridge and hitting the rocks below. She was rescued by a boy and his mother who happened to be fishing nearby. Generous people like you provided the veterinary care that she needed to make a triumphant recovery.

Today, your gift will provide life-saving vet care, surgeries, and rehabilitation for other animals with critical medical needs.
