Community activists Marcia Moe and Norma Honeysett founded the Broadway Market in 1990 as part of a movement for downtown revitalization, seeking to create a walkable downtown and connect our community by sharing wholesome, locally grown foods in the heart of Tacoma. Today, Broadway is one of the oldest continually operating farmers markets in South Puget Sound and TFM operates markets in East Tacoma, at Point Ruston, and on Hilltop, and in 2020 launched the Fresh Express Mobile Market, which brings fresh, healthy food from Pierce County farmers to residents across Pierce County. Our markets are a regional tradition that support local farms and small businesses with vibrant community events, well-used food access programs, and an abundance of culturally diverse foods. Every gift helps TFM continue this 30 year long legacy.
