Hello Harnessing Hope Herd near and far, 

One of our super excited and ready to participate school partners unexpectedly did not receive the funding they were counting on to join us for their Equine Assisted Learning Sessions this 2025 school year. They are working hard on their own to find donations, but can we help them fundraise so that they can attend these incredibly valuable EAL lessons? 

Equine Assisted Learning is a polyvagal nerve based, interpersonal skill building program that partners students with equines to become better, more regulated humans. Horses teach us in ways that no other way can, as their nervous systems are 5 times larger than our own. Students who have felt dysregulated, now experience feeling calmer and balanced when their working with the horses at the barn, and learn skills to take that feeling out into the real world. So many of us have never been taught how to regulate our bodies or how to recognize when we are feeling out of balance and turn to unhealthy ways of self-medicating. If students can learn this at a young age, partnered with coping mechanisms, interpersonal skill building and finding their calm, assertive energy- this will go a long way towards finding a more successful future.
