T1Determined: Low Blood Sugar at High Altitude

There is little data about the effects of extreme climbs on a T1D athlete. This latest project by T1Determined will change that. 

Joseph Anthony Marcello was suddenly diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes at the age of 21. An avid mountaineer, through this documentary and podcast he’s building a community while pursuing acclaimed peaks. He is T1Determined.

This documentary film, Low Blood Sugar at High Altitude, follows Joseph’s journey as he prepares to scale Denali.His ambition is a direct challenge to his T1D condition, and without accurate and continuous blood sugar monitoring his life is at stake.
