Emeline and I have come to know each other through our parents' relationship and family ties. We have never associated with any other activity but social community events. She was always on my mind, but we never scheduled a time to discuss future endeavors. One day I had just gotten off my radio show the Voice of Tonga in Seattle. I decided to text my friend/cousin Emeline Latu Faaumu-Niutei just to say hello. I wrote almost half a page of exciting events of my life to share with her. As my thumb was ready to push the send button, the phone rang, it was Emeline on the other line.

Talking about the Lord’s timing! On whatever conversations me and Emeline was to have, just happened at that moment! As she was talking, I was explaining to her that I was in the middle of sending her a text. We were both in awe; our connection on this day was some prompting that came very promptly. Since then, our conversations have continued to this day. I invited Emeline to be our Guest of Honor on one of our weekly segments, National Tongan Women in Leadership (NTWL). During the show, I felt such warmth of good and comfortable feeling. Indeed, it was the best interview for a strong women leadership show that occurred. Emeline became a regular contributor and ratings went up so fast with us NTWL show.

On the other hand, a few years back. I remembered writing an email to an individual that was running for Mayor of Euless, Texas to congratulate her but for some reason that email was never sent. She was a very gorgeous professional individual, not only running for Mayor but also was a Master Coach who teaches different courses in Mindset. In addition, she was a published author of two books title “Mindset is Law and Mindset Is Law II,” that is selling on Amazon. She was also the Editor in Chief of the “This Month Texas” magazine and a remarkably successful entrepreneur but her name surfaced again in 2021 when a friend of mine asked me to invite her to our National Women in Leadership (NTWL) show. She did not make it politically but would have been a future women's leader in my book. With my friend insisting, I finally called Emeline to see if she could reach out to this lady and ask her to be a Special Guest on our upcoming NTWL show.

On the contrary, Emeline had never known or met her before and felt awkward calling her but recently came across her name on Amazon because she always searched for her next book to read. She was right! So, I decided to call her. My phone call to Ms. Tupou Maluhola Helu-Uhatafe was a blessing. We chit-chat for a while; the conversation was full of laughter and felt like we had known each other for a long time. She accepted the invitation and was easily confirmed. Emeline was so excited about the news and had to follow up with a call of briefings and guidelines on the contents of the interview in case she had questions. After her conversations, she called back after an hour with excitement and joyously happy like her emotions went skyrocket. She confirmed and shared her feelings with me about this newfound friend and swore she had known her before somewhere like I did with my first encounter with her also.

Since that interviewed, the three of us found each other with the Grace of God. Our lives behind us were of the same story. Our likes and dislikes were of the same fashion. Almost thinking of the same ideas and moving on with positive thoughts to solidify success. Our credentials are evident of positive thinking, hardworking, integrity, and a sound mindset. We have earnestly believed God brought us together for a higher purpose. After Tupou was interviewed that night, she and Emeline friendship immediately takes on the next morning to a mastermind, and daily strategizing on our vision for Tonga, the homeland we all loved so very much. One morning, Tupou called Emeline and asked if she could put Brenda on the phone. She said we needed to talk! On that conversation, she proposed the idea of having our own radio show. My response was, let me sleep on it. She replied, Brenda, we have no time to sleep! No Jokes! Tonga World News (TWN) was born within twenty-four hours with limited resources but after close to a year TWN latest look is EPIC!

United Nations Pacific Islanders Federation (UNPIF) was initiated back in 2012 by Tupou as a Texas Non-Profit Corporation and a 501(c)3 organization, which later validated in 2021. We quickly extended our work to include a team and radio contributors from Tonga were orchestrated also with potential projects in motion. Tupou Maluhola Helu-Uhatafe, Emeline Latu Faaumu-Niutei, and I, Brenda Joyce Kongaika, all worked diligently to build this whole organization together to operate, manage, sustain, and advance our vision to the dimensions of phenomenal. Our radio was rated with professionalism and no looking back. Tupou moved on to a Higher Calling, but her legacy stayed loyal in our hearts.
