Geof Caldwell Memorial

It is with great sadness and deep appreciation that we memorialize Geof Caldwell for his outstanding service and dedication as an eleven-year volunteer tutor with the Apprentices at the Alexandria Seaport Foundation. Geof passed away a few weeks ago and a memorial service is planned for August 16 at 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria.

Geof's unwavering commitment and generous spirit have left an indelible mark on our organization and the lives of countless Apprentices. His passion for teaching and his ability to connect with Apprentices of all backgrounds made him an invaluable mentor. Geof's unique approach combined patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by our Apprentices, creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment.

Throughout his years of service, Geof went above and beyond the call of duty. He dedicated countless hours to one-on-one tutoring sessions and hands-on projects, always with a smile and a positive attitude. Geof’s ability to foster self-confidence and a love for learning has been instrumental in their personal and professional growth.

Geof’s contributions extend beyond tutoring. He was a mentor, a friend, and a role model, offering guidance and support that has helped our Apprentices navigate the complexities of life and career. His impact is felt in the success stories of our graduates, many of whom credit Geof's mentorship as a key factor in their achievements.

We celebrate Geof Caldwell's remarkable eleven years of volunteer service and express our deepest gratitude for his unwavering dedication.
