Remember Kenny's Cafe on Centinela Avenue and their famously delicious Chashu Royal? Kenny's family is generously dusting off their recipe book to provide this limited opportunity to go back a few years and once again enjoy their amazing and memorable dish for the benefit of the Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
As we all move closer to resuming our regular lives, the Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple will be offering, for our Members and Friends in Dharma, Kenny's delicious Chashu Royals (drive-up/pick-up only) on Saturday, August 8th from 11:30 AM- 4:30 PM, and Sunday, August 9th from 11:30AM . 2:30PM. Appropriate safety standards will be maintained throughout the preparation and delivery process.
Proceeds will be used to help the Temple fill budget shortfalls created by the cancellation of many of our major fund raising events this year. This event is spearheaded by The VHBT Sangha Initiative, a group of younger adults formed to build a stronger sense of Community and enhance the future prospects of the Temple in part through offering innovative and enriching programs and services.
The Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple is one of approximately 60 Jodo Shinshu temples and churches that are a part of the Buddhist Churches of America. Located in the Culver City area of Los Angeles, we have been promoting the Buddha Dharma for over 60 years.
