A message from Michelle Torelli, SLA Class of 2013:

Hello Everyone!

First and foremost, I hope everyone and their loved ones are doing well during this time.

We all come from different backgrounds, and quite frankly, we all have the power to help our community, it just comes down to choice and what you define your purpose. Back in freshman year of college, I thought that I wanted to work for one of the top companies in the world and one day I will have "enough money" to give back to my family and community. As an engineer, I tend to analyze aspects of my life that are not work related. One of them being how much and when should I start a scholarship fund(s). I asked myself, why can't I just start now?

After initial discussions with Lehmann and other alums, we decided it was time to start a general Alumni Scholarship Fund.

Will you join me in giving back to the community that supported us -- by supporting the next generation of SLA graduates?

Donations to the scholarship fund fall into TWO categories:

1. General donations -- donate in honor of your graduating class. No donation is too small! We're looking for 100% participation from our graduates.

2. Challenge donations -- To set up an independent scholarship like Michelle did, the minimum donation is $500. If you are interested in matching or exceeding that amount, use the "challenge donations" category when checking out. (If you are interested in jointly sponsoring a scholarship, contact LPahomov@scienceleadership.org before making your donation!)
