The Washington, D.C. chapter was founded on March 16, 1940. Today, more than 175 mothers and more than 270 children make up the Washington DC chapter of Jack and Jill. For 85 years, we have remained focused on promoting the aims of our founders through sound children’s programming, legislative advocacy, meaningful service, generous support of local community organizations and the Jack and Jill Foundation.

Each year, the Washington, DC chapter carefully selects local nonprofit beneficiaries based on a set of 9 criteria, including the charity’s mission and goals, and its impact on the local, and greater Washington, DC community.

To commemorate our 85th Anniversary and celebrate the 5th installment of Bubbles, Bourbon, and Bones, we are raising funds to support DC Action as the primary beneficiary for their dedication to eradicating youth homelessness in the nation’s capital.

Additionally, a third of the proceeds will go to the Jack and Jill Foundation to support issues affecting children and families through investing in programs that provide quality education, healthcare, and safe environments. We hope that you will join our efforts.
