Warren Township Community Forum Volunteers with Temple Har Shalom's Story
A message from local Warren resident and fund originator, Mike Traina:
"During these unsettling times, I wanted to let our healthcare providers know how appreciated and valued they are to us as a community. There is so much that remains unknown and unable to predict, with that said what better way to show our gratitude to the men and women on the front lines than a healthy meal delivered to them to keep them strong."
Our current fundraise has allowed us to provide over 3,500 meals! With your donation we can continue to provide a significant impact. We support restaurants in Warren, Watchung, Basking Ridge, Martinsville, Bridgewater and Greenbrook.
After just one week, our community had raised over $14,000 from 195 contributors. In our second week received a special gift for $5,000 from a local anonymous resident bringing our total to $23,000! At May 20th we've raised over $35,000.
Large gift inquiries can be made by sending an email to @[email protected] or @[email protected] and we'll set a call as needed.
We now coordinate hospital meals with 6 other nearby town fundraising volunteer groups in Berkeley Heights, New Providence, Summit, Union and Westfield & Mountainside. The teamwork behind the scenes is INCREDIBLE!
And hospitals we support include: Children's Specialized Hospital, Morristown Medical Center, St. Barnabas, Overlook Medical Center, University Hospital, Saint Peters, Robert Wood Johnson (New Brunswick & Somerset), VA Hospitals Lyons & East Orange, GreenBrook Regional Dev. Center, Bonnie Brae, NJ Poison Control/Covid Hotline, and new locations are added regularly.
The Warren Township Community Forum Volunteers Group is also pleased to partner up with Temple Har Shalom in FEEDING THE FRONT LINES. Donations can continue to be made here and ALL donations made through this partnership are tax deductible.
100% of the funds collected will be distributed to pay for meals and healthy snacks.
Our team of community volunteers are coordinating with local area hospitals and medical center personnel to arrange, purchase and deliver the meals.
We thank you for your support and wish you good health. We are all in this together!
