Story
As we move into the fall, our thoughts turn to upcoming times of holiday celebration, when home becomes such a special place. The clients we serve feel the same way, but sometimes building that sense of “home” is not easy.
Interfaith Works’ Community Supportive Housing (CSH) program serves 60 families and 65 individuals who are living independently in supportive housing. These residents are individuals and families with disabilities who have experienced months -- or even years -- of homelessness. The name of the program is intentional: our clients are engaging and building their lives as active members of our community, with help and support from the community.
But they need your help right now. We are raising funds to help them prepare for the coming holidays by enabling them to buy groceries, clothing, gifts for children -- anything that will help them celebrate the holidays. In addition, these funds can help support getting those "small" things -- cleaning supplies, linens -- that can have a big impact on making a place truly feel like home.
Will you support our early holiday campaign by making a financial donation to help our clients celebrate the coming holidays as well as meet their basic needs?
Your contribution will stretch further too: the Fitzpatrick Group of Compass has generously offered to match all donations, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $5,000. That means your donation of $100 will provide $200 for our clients.
We hope you will support this campaign by Oct. 15 so our clients will have time to plan their holiday celebrations.
With your help, our clients will be able to feel truly at home, celebrating in ways that are most meaningful to them when the holiday season arrives. Thank you for considering making a big impact on our neighbors with your generosity.
