Alliance for Refugees was birthed out of the collaborative efforts of Princeton Alliance Church and World Relief.

Together they worked toward the goal of establishing a new refugee resettlement agency. After months of preparation our application was submitted to the Federal Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (a division of the U.S. State Department) along with over a dozen letters of support from churches and organizations in Middlesex and Mercer Counties as well as NJ's Office of New Americans and our friends at Interfaith-RISE.

Alliance for Refugees (AFR) is now an independent 501(c)3 charitable organization functioning as a World Relief affiliate for the purpose of resettling refugees in NJ. Our clients are approved by UNHCR, assigned to the US for resettlement and entrusted to our care.

AFR can welcome refugees because people of faith and people of good will come together to offer our new neighbors freedom, hope, and a new place of belonging.
