Amplify Alaska - In Action!

Amplify Alaska was created in the depths of COVID to provide musicians a space to perform and bring awareness to a cause they are passionate about, as well as to provide the community a risk-free way to listen to live music and support local businesses. Over time, we have been able to offer hybrid events-- live concerts that the community can attend that are also available online. We see value in continuing online streaming because our goal is to provide an event that everyone can attend and enjoy.

Musicians tend to be passionate, community-minded people by nature, and many Alaskan musicians have a personal connection to a specific cause or organization. Amplify Alaska helps the musician and the activist to explore that connection further, while sharing original music connected to, or even inspired by the good cause.

HOW IT WORKS

Each season, Amplify Alaska selects featured artists with a strong sense of community and civic commitment to participate in a podcast or a live fundraiser event.

The artist decides on the charitable cause - be it an established nonprofit organization, a charity, an unincorporated community initiative, or even an individual “burning for a good cause”.

The production team, the artist(s) and representatives for the chosen cause/organization then meet to explore each other’s mission, journey, resources.
