At A Pound Dog’s Purpose, we do more than rescue shelter dogs—we uncover their true potential and change lives on both ends of the leash.

Each dog is carefully selected from a local shelter, welcomed into a home environment, and trained to become a service or working companion. Once ready, these dogs are donated—completely free of charge—to individuals or organizations who need them most.

Our foundation is proudly built around the belief that mixed-breed and "off-breed" dogs are just as capable as their purebred counterparts. We show the world that the dogs often overlooked in shelters can go on to do extraordinary things.

In addition to rescuing and training dogs, we break financial barriers. Professionally trained service dogs can cost between $15,000 and $50,000+—a price many cannot afford. By donating these dogs at no cost, we offer critical, life-changing support to those who need it most.
