Barber Intelligence Military was founded with a deep commitment to those who have served. At its heart is Marilou, a passionate advocate for the military community. Coming from a proud military family—her husband and stepson serving in the Air Force, her brother and nephew in the Marines, and her brothers-in-law in the Navy and Army—Marilou’s dedication to supporting service members runs deep.

For years, Marilou has been actively involved with numerous military organizations. She is a life member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxiliary and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Auxiliary, holding multiple leadership positions. As a member of the Scottsdale Elks Lodge 1248, she continues to support initiatives that uplift veterans. Her hands-on involvement with the Army National Guard Joint Family Services during the Afghanistan and Iraq wars—where she coordinated farewell and welcome-home events—earned her recognition in the Army National Guard Soldier and Family Foundation magazine.

With a passion for giving back, Marilou created Barber Intelligence Military to provide veterans with both a beginning and a future. Through the Barber Intelligence Education Program, veterans gain the skills needed to enter the professional barbering industry. But education is just the first step—Marilou ensures that career opportunities follow, helping veterans secure stable employment and financial independence.
