Did you know that up to 18% of the Down syndrome population also have Autism Spectrum Disorder?

Many families who have a loved one with DS-ASD have never been offered education or support raising their child. They remain in isolation and feel abandoned.

The Down Syndrome-Autism Connection is the only non-profit organization in the United States providing education and support to families who have a loved one with the co-occurring diagnosis of Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder since 2007. Our mission is to serve families who are feeling alone and isolated by providing them with educational materials, support, and welcoming them to a loving, accepting community. We offer families hope, love and a place to belong.

Our educational resources and support groups have reached more than 2,000 families worldwide.

In addition, the Connection is partnering with healthcare providers and researchers spearheading studies to provide evidenced based research that will improve the care for the patient and families to access needed services and spread awareness of the diagnosis of co-occurring Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
