Burnet Consolidated Independent School District has a wonderful history of excellence in academic and extracurricular activities. The district is committed to providing continued enrichment programs that craft the future of student accomplishments in their college and career experiences.

Sustaining educational excellence has become difficult due to the state’s recapture program and lack of sufficient funding. This challenges our district to retain staff and continue quality education.

Burnet CISD Education Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, was formed in 2024 by a voluntary board of directors consisting of alumni, parents, and community leaders. The primary focus is partnering with the community in raising private funds for the school district’s most critical needs. Investing in our teachers, staff and students will maximize learning opportunities by awarding innovative teacher grants, staff scholarships, instructional materials, and district initiatives outside the scope of ordinary budget. Other funding priorities include recognition of academic achievement and recognition of teaching excellence.

The Foundation receives tax-deductible donations from district residents, parents, businesses, alumni, other foundations, and interested parties committed to exceptional public education.

We believe stronger schools produce stronger communities. The success of our schools is essential and directly impacts the economic vitality of the community and quality of life for residents and businesses.
