Come join us as we kick off our seventh year of taking free, compassionate healthcare to Kansas City's most vulnerable people: those experiencing homelessness or living in profound poverty. We've come a long way from those early days, when KK and Chris Assmann started our mobile clinic out of the back of Chris's pickup. So. Many. Stories!
At this year's fundraiser, you'll hear some of those stories and more from people who've lived them... our founders, some of the people we serve, and our volunteers. Come hungry: the taco bar will be ready for you, and you can imbibe at the open bar. Our Silent Auction will run throughout the event. Unable to attend in person? You can still participate in the auction as an online bidder!
Hope you can join us on Feb. 5 at the beautiful Thompson Barn in Lenexa. Attendance is limited to 200, so please get your tickets soon!

Story
Care Beyond the Boulevard (CBB) began in 2016 as an entirely volunteer-based mobile medical clinic operating from the back of a pickup. The goal then—and now—is to take free, high-quality healthcare to people in the Kansas City Metro who are experiencing homelessness or living in profound poverty.
Our medical teams include volunteer doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, med students, and others. As of December 2022, we have seen 2,639 patients in 8,494 encounters. We are braced for another tough winter; there are simply not enough safe, warm, indoor accommodations for people on the street.
2023 is shaping up to be a busy year. The Beehive, a navigation center we're developing in partnership with the Greater Kansas City Coalition to End Homelessness and the KCMO Downtown Council, will open soon. Our first two remodeled respite care rooms will be complete, and we'll be working on three more. Ideally, our All About the Bus crowdfunding campaign will enable us to replace our beloved Big Green Bus. And we'll continue to look for opportunities to host free clinics when and where our people on the street need them. Learn more about what we do on our website. Thank you for supporting our work!
