Billy Blackmon's Story
I have no son, but I am a son. As a father of three daughters, it could be asked of me "Why do you care about mentoring boys into a fulfilling and healthy manhood?" In short, I began to discover myself in new ways when I discovered Journeymen. Through this work, I have gotten into communion with my own inner teenage boy, his deep wants, and (many unmet) needs. It is through the act of sacred service, of giving away what I did not receive, that I have grown as a father, a husband, friend, and mentor. There is magic here, and it is beautiful. I'm grateful to be a part of it.
