Paige Pace was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and is passionate about her career as a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty. In her free time, she enjoys modeling and is signed with Miles Models, an international modeling firm based out of Atlanta. She also enjoys learning American Sign Language, has obtained her hang-gliding license, and is heavily involved in her community though volunteer work at foundations such as the Boys and Girls Club of America, the YMCA where she coaches little league soccer, and independently in her community hosting an annual food drive at Thanksgiving to help those less fortunate enjoy a meal during the holidays.
Growing up in Augusta, Georgia, Paige found her love for competition as a young girl when her father introduced her to lacrosse; she would spend hours practicing and perfecting her techniques with a goal to one day attend college on a lacrosse scholarship. When she began high school, Paige was delighted to have made the varsity lacrosse team as a freshman, and would eventually become the defense captain.
In 2009, Paige was first admitted to the hospital with anorexia, bulimia, and body dysmorphia. After several more extended stays in the hospital for malnutrition, dehydration, and various health complications in relation to her eating disorders, she was devastated to no longer have the opportunity to peruse her dreams with lacrosse. Paige is a firm believer that when one door closes, another door will open, and in 2011, Paige was introduced to beauty pageants through a close family friend. She competed and won her first local pageant through the Junior Miss America program which awarded her the opportunity to compete at state level for the title Miss Georgia, Junior Miss America. This was just the beginning of her career as a beauty queen; winning a vast number of pageants in an exceptionally short span of time, she was extremely grateful to be presented countless scholarships. It was through pageantry that she had the opportunity to promote her platform, eating disorder awareness, most notably on the national stage at the Miss United States pageant.
Though Paige has aged out of pageantry, she will never age out of her passion to promote eating disorder awareness. She is honored to have the opportunity to be competing as an aerial dancer in this year’s Dancing with the Stars competition for EDIN, and humbled to be amongst so many other inspirational individuals, including her aerial dance partner, Karen Rooker. Paige remains optimistic that one day the conversation around eating disorders will be normalized, and is dedicating her dance to the young women and men who struggle with eating disorders.
