Sometimes, the institutions we support need help responding to the multitudes of marginalized and vulnerable people in our world. Chapter 3 wants to come alongside and help when we are able. Our Grassroots initiatives have included natural disaster relief, leading and staffing domestic and international mission efforts, and offering instructional courses and worship services. We have been humbled to work with many great churches and organizations like Renovaré, Kairos Prison Ministry, and Acts and Emmaus Retreats. We have even been honored to help a grassroots initiative to provide clean water develop into full-fledged non-profit organization (More Water 4 Africa). Our board members approve each initiative we undertake, and all of our grassroots efforts are led by at least one of our directors.

Pioneer Group San Antonio is a community of people in recovery that honors the biblical roots of the 12-Step movement. We seek to grow in our recovery and as followers of Jesus through commitment to the program, sponsorship, fellowship, study, and worship. All year long, Pioneer hosts a number of weekly meetings and classes for people in recovery. From weekly 12-Step meetings in local churches to multiple class and Bible study offerings at recovery facilities and homeless shelters, Pioneer reaches thousands of lives each year by building and fostering relationships between the recovery community and the faith community.

Chapter 3 Publishing supports the development and production of revenue-producing original works such as books, music, and curriculum that emphasize Christ-centered spiritual formation.
