Every day, animal shelters and rescue organizations care for animals who have been abandoned, neglected, surrendered, or simply never given the chance to have a permanent home. CARE Team was created around a simple belief: if we want to change what happens to animals, we have to start long before they arrive at the shelter.

Community Animal Resource and Education (CARE) Team focuses on prevention through education. We create age-appropriate experiences that help young people understand animals’ needs, recognize their responsibility toward them, and develop the knowledge and skills to become lifelong animal stewards.

But education is only the beginning. CARE connects learning with meaningful experiences, reflection, and opportunities to take action—helping students see that the choices they make can have a real impact on animals and their communities.

Our goal is generational change: fewer animals neglected or abandoned, less pressure on shelters and rescue organizations, and communities where caring responsibly for animals becomes simply part of how we live.

CARE educates, engages, and empowers people to practice animal stewardship, creating lasting positive change in their communities.

Your support helps us turn that mission into action.
