The Edgar Family Foundation Story

The Edgar Family Foundation was built on the idea that no child should be kept from opportunity because of their family’s financial situation—especially when it comes to the game of soccer.

Founded by Bill Edgar and his family in Riverside, California, the foundation reflects decades of personal investment in the local soccer community. Bill has worn many hats over the years—coach, team manager, mentor, and proud soccer dad. He began his journey on the sidelines with Legends FC and later managed teams at Albion Riverside, watching players grow into young adults and witnessing firsthand what it takes—financially and emotionally—for a kid to compete at a high level.

But it’s difficult to watch a talented player sit out a showcase tournament, miss out on travel opportunities, or fall behind in development simply because their family can’t afford the cost.

That’s where the Edgar Family Foundation steps in.

The foundation provides financial assistance, scholarships, and resources to help level the playing field. Whether it's helping pay for uniforms, travel, tournament fees, or training, our mission is simple: support deserving players and programs so they can compete—locally, regionally, and statewide.

We’re especially focused on supporting the Arlington High School (AHS) soccer program, which is now stepping onto the same stage as elite programs from the Trinity League and other top Southern California schools. Competing at that level requires more than talent—it requires funding for equipment, travel, facilities, and exposure.

Through community support and grassroots fundraising like our “Starting 11” campaign, we’re working to ensure that the boys’ and girls’ teams at AHS have everything they need to train, travel, and take their shot at greatness.
